Starting Point

My decision to maintain a blog, initially titled 'Diary & Writings', later changed to 'My Writings', and now titled 'Writings by Dhanesh Wisumperuma', stemmed from my desire to share a collection of materials with friends and others interested in reading. I often encounter topics that I am unable to publish in newspapers and magazines!

This blog serves as a compilation of articles I have written for newspapers, abstracts of published research papers, reflections on daily experiences, travel notes, and poetry - all authored by me. Some articles are exclusively published on the blog (and Facebook). These writings primarily focus on nature and the environment, culture, history and archaeology, and issues of national interest. I welcome you to visit if you have time, and I appreciate any comments you may have.
